The Story Behind LET'S TALK!

Do you know that feeling when a wonderful idea pops into your head and you spend half the night thinking about it from every angle? That's exactly how the idea for kids conversation cards started one evening in March 2024... Within the next few days, 60 questions were written. That simple? In the following months, after consulting with language specialists, educational experts, kids, their parents, the illustrator, and the print shop, almost none of the original question file remained. But today, we feel immense joy and satisfaction because...

The LET'S TALK! conversation card set is a mighty, loving, and creative project that, less than a year after the idea first sparked, has finally met its wonderful users. Caring parents, curious kids (both four-year-olds and forty-year-olds), and everyone who values spending meaningful time together!

What are the LET'S TALK! Conversation Cards?

It's an excellent tool for spending valuable time together!

The set includes 60 cards with creative and interesting questions for kids approximately 4-10 years old, but based on the feedback we've received, it's safe to say they will be engaging for both kids and adults!

Ideas for using the cards:

  • Take the cards in order, ask the question to the kid, and patiently wait for the answer;
  • Invite the kid to randomly pick a card, discuss the question, and then pick the next one;
  • Ask the same questions every week, month, or year;
  • Choose the card by color -  start with one color, then move on to the next;
  • Answer a question yourself from your current perspective or by remembering your childhood;
  • Take the cards with you on car rides or when visiting friends/family.
And many, many more ways...

Beautiful Design and Symbols with Meaning

Such a beautiful idea absolutely had to be wrapped in beautiful execution!

Such a beautiful idea absolutely had to be wrapped in beautiful execution! Right from the start, it was clear that this meant bright, colorful, pleasant, and original. In this regard, a huge thank you goes to the illustration artist, Kristiāna Pandere! The second equally important detail is the packaging: a sturdy and durable box, ensuring that the question asking doesn't stop after the first few scrunched corners! As they say—we often pay attention to what is personally important to us.

Even the seemingly colorful, random symbols and colors are not accidental. They hide many values—the light blue color as a foundation that creates peace and trust; the apple blossom representing simplicity, yet growth, bloom, and the breath of spring; the oak leaf—a symbol of physical and spiritual strength; the sunflower, the olive branch, and, of course, the big one who listens, and the little one who tells. Or vice versa! :)

About the Project's Author

I am a mom and a teacher who believes that the world is a colorful and wondrous place, provided we have the right tools and mindset. One of the core cornerstones of this idea is the belief that every parent should be able to ask our beloved kids something more than just, "How was your day?"

I absolutely love living with love: experiencing, being, discovering. Learning, organizing, creating, surprising, dancing, smiling, cooking, reading, leading, traveling, doing yoga, meeting people, laughing, writing, admiring, exercising, planning, talking, painting, having fun, tidying, snacking, sleeping well, being quiet, navigating, thinking, playing, challenging, moving, letting it be. And dreaming, always dreaming!

Born and raised in Kuldīga, I carry with me the discipline and resilience I gained from my time at a specialized sports high school. My professional journey has mainly been dedicated to the worlds of culture and education. Some of my steps along the way include studying in the Canary Islands, teaching in both elementary and high school, leading classes at a local Spanish club, spending a few years driving to markets with my handicrafts, traveling—lots of traveling—becoming a mom, and having a never-ending curiosity to experience this world!

I am truly happy and grateful that the projects realized through me bring joy, curiosity, and smiles to people's hearts!

Best wishes, Anna, Project Author
